Dansa Kourouma, autrefois fervent acteur de la société civile guinéenne, est désormais le visage public d'une Guinée en transition. En tant que président du Conseil national de transition (CNT), il est au cœur de la défense du projet de nouvelle Constitution, tout en vantant le bilan du colonel Mamadi Doumbouya, leader de la junte ayant renversé Alpha Condé en 2021. De la société civile à l’arène politique
Âgé de 44 ans, Dansa Kourouma a longtemps été une figure emblématique de la société civile guinéenne. Président du Conseil national des organisations de la société civile guinéenne et leader du Forum de la société civile de la CEDEAO, il a acquis une réputation de défenseur acharné des droits civiques et d’acteur clé des débats publics en Guinée. Cependant, depuis janvier 2022, son parcours a pris un tournant radical : il est devenu le président du CNT, organe législatif intérimaire mis en place après la dissolution de l’Assemblée nationale à la suite du coup d’État qui a destitué Alpha Condé.
Pour certains, ce changement de « casquette » ressemble à un passage de la dissidence à l’ordre établi. Mais Kourouma, dans ses fonctions actuelles, s’affirme comme l'un des porte-parole les plus convaincants de la transition guinéenne, défendant le bilan de Mamadi Doumbouya et cherchant à stabiliser le pays tout en répondant aux critiques de l'opposition.
Le projet de Constitution, un sujet brûlant
L’une des principales missions de Dansa Kourouma est de défendre le projet de nouvelle Constitution qui sera soumis à référendum. Ce texte, bien que critiqué par une partie de l’opposition, est présenté par Kourouma comme un outil fondamental pour guider la Guinée vers un retour à un régime civil. La rédaction du texte a soulevé des interrogations sur l’avenir politique de la junte, notamment la possibilité pour ses membres, comme Mamadi Doumbouya, de se présenter à des élections.
Contrairement à la Charte de la transition, la nouvelle Constitution n’imposera pas d’interdiction à Doumbouya ou à d’autres membres de la junte de se porter candidats aux futures élections. Cette omission est perçue par certains comme une porte ouverte pour que Doumbouya, considéré par Kourouma comme un « leader qui a posé des actes concrets marquant la conscience collective du pays », puisse briguer la présidence.
Doumbouya président ? La question qui divise
Dansa Kourouma, sans équivoque, ne cache pas son soutien implicite à une éventuelle candidature de Mamadi Doumbouya à la présidentielle. Selon lui, c’est avant tout aux Guinéens de choisir leur futur dirigeant via les urnes, mais il estime que Doumbouya a déjà gagné une place importante dans l’histoire récente du pays. Pour Kourouma, le colonel a montré qu’il était un leader capable de diriger, grâce aux « actes concrets » qu’il a posés depuis son arrivée au pouvoir. Toutefois, cette perspective continue de diviser une classe politique où le souvenir d’un pouvoir militaire est encore bien présent.
En défendant ce projet de Constitution, Kourouma se positionne non seulement comme un défenseur de la transition, mais aussi comme une figure clé de l’avenir politique de la Guinée. Son rôle dans cette période charnière pourrait façonner l'équilibre fragile du pouvoir dans un pays toujours en quête de stabilité.
