Spain: Baby violently attacked by Moroccan national in Barcelona park
A terrible incident occurred in Barcelona, where an 11-year-old girl was attacked by blows to the face in a park in the Sants-Montjuïc district. The attack caused shockwaves in the city, exacerbated by the fact that the alleged attacker, aged 35 and a Moroccan national, was already known for similar acts.
Arrested shortly after the incident, he was quickly taken into custody by the Catalan police (Mossos d'Esquadra), who opened an investigation to clarify the precise circumstances of the attack.

The incident took place while the girl was playing in a park with her grandparents. According to local authorities, the suspect approached the child before committing the attack. A video is circulating on the networks and confirms this version of events. The victim's screams alerted passers-by, who immediately contacted the police. Thanks to the reactivity of the police, the suspect was arrested at the scene of the crime.
This despicable act has deeply shocked the inhabitants of Barcelona, but also the whole country, which is increasingly questioning the consequences of Moroccan immigration.
Social media quickly went wild, calling for justice for the young victim and denouncing the repetition of such attacks despite the suspect's criminal record. "This is an unacceptable act that reminds us how vigilant we must be about the safety of the most vulnerable and the madness of some people who come to our homes," said a source close to local authorities. "It's becoming unbearable: they reign terror every day and we can't do anything. We are helpless," said a citizen interviewed by our Spanish colleagues.
A sordid affair which will have shocked more than one observer.
